St Margaret’s Primary School Presents Almost Fairy Tale
Aug 13, 2016
4PM - 6PM
The King of Almost Fairytale Land will be celebrating his 174th birthday in two weeks’ time. However, the King is in a foul mood because the readership of their storybooks has hit an all-time low. In a top-secret operation, code-named Humpty Dumpty, five main offenders have been rounded up: Cinderella, Prince Char-Mee, aspiring King of the Hokkien Mee empire, Jacky and the Beansprouts, a fast-talking taugeh (translation: beansprouts) businessman, Goldilocks and the Three Pears, and, Slow White and the Seven Dinosaurs.
To avoid being banished from Almost Fairytale Land, Cinderella, Prince Char Mee, Jacky, Goldilocks and Slow White have to work against time to put together a concert for the King’s birthday.
Prince Char-mee’s a rather resourceful man,
Ol’ Jacky may have magic beans in his hands,
Goldilocks might seek help from her friends – the three bears,
Slow White, however, would need more than three years.
Thirteen days have passed! Only one day to go!
How a fortnight has flown by, and still nothing to show!
In 24 hours, they are going to go,
Expelled! – to the land that is colder than snow.
From the Land of the Banished, there is no return.
Your covers are ripped, your pages are burned.
Will our heroes and heroines escape certain death?
From the way that things look, don’t hold your breath.
Featuring performances by the performing arts’ groups of St Margaret’s Primary School, as well as the Primary One and Two pupils, Almost Fairy Tales will bring you on a journey through real and imaginary lands. Are the characters doomed or will they escape their fate?
