Sarvesh Festival of Arts: Sid Sriram Live in Singapore
The Inaugural SARVESH FESTIVAL OF ARTS is an annual event that features emerging talents from Singapore and around the world. This year’s headline is SID SRIRAM, the soulful voice behind Thalli Pogathey and Ennodu Nee Irundhaal. This will be his first Solo Concert outside of India, and he will be performing for 90 minutes singing his cinema songs as well as covers of hit Indian songs and share with you some of his original music. He is even preparing a surprise performance just for us music lovers in Singapore.
Sid will be performing with his hand picked band comprising of Karthik Devarajan on the keys, Tapass Naresh on the drums, Sanjeev Philip Thomas on guitar, Jhanu Chanthar Nathiraj on bass, and Praveen Kumar on percussions. The other half of the 3 and half Hour concert will feature the most creative and talented performance artistes. There are more than 50 Singaporean artistes who have been working hard to showcase their talent including, Niranjan Pandian who will be showcasing a music set with his band , Brahmastras, Akshara Thiru with a never before seen percussion based performance with his group Damaru, Aditi Gopinathan who will be attempting to showcase both carnatic and Operatic traditions through a musical dialouge.
For those of you who love dance, this will be a night you will never forget. On one hand you will witness a classical contemporary performance to a carnatic progressive rock number. This is brought to you by Durga Mani Maran from Tripataka. On the other hand, you also have Logan Narayanasamy who will choreographing a new age performance comprising of different dance styles that will leave you wowed. We also have Sadi Wakhri Ah Taur (S.W.A.T.) who are ready to bring us to a new standard of Bhangra as well as Shamini Loganathan and Iswarya Sundar who will displaying an energetic rendition of classical fusion.
